Making the transition to becoming a full-time professor

Facilitator: Professor Bomyi Lim, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Convener: Joe Rummaneethorn, CETLI Graduate Fellow, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

The expectations in teaching and mentoring as a graduate student/postdoc versus faculty may be very different in various ways. In this workshop we will have a conversation with Dr. Bomyi Lim, Assistant Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, on her journey transitioning into a full-time faculty role. The workshop will explore best practices in evolving as a lifelong learner, teacher, and mentor; and answer any questions participants may have about the topic.

All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the CBE department and so may be most useful to students in related fields.

Counts toward the CETLI Teaching Certificate.
