Redesigning Courses and Teaching from Scratch
Facilitator: Stan Najmr, CTL Graduate Fellow, Chemistry
Convener: Professor E. James Petersson, Chemistry
As a course instructor, you may be faced with the challenge of teaching an outdated syllabus or creating a new course entirely. This is especially relevant for instructors of modern STEM courses, where new research is frequently redefining the direction of the field. In this workshop, Professor E. James Petersson will share the insight he’s gained about this process from his experiences in redesigning CHEM 243 and developing another course from scratch. All graduate students are welcome. This event grows out of concerns in the Chemistry department and so may be most useful to students in related fields.
Counts toward the CTL Teaching Certificate.
All welcome; no registration necessary.
