Talking with Your Students After a Tragedy

Facilitator: Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Innovation

CETLI will host an open discussion for Faculty and TAs on Talking with Your Students after a Tragedy. In the aftermath of this week’s death of Gregory Eells, head of Penn’s Counseling and Psychological Services, many faculty have wondered whether and how to address this in their classes. This session will give instructors the chance to explore ideas about how to talk with their classes following tragic events that impact their students.
