What is Gather.town? And how can I use it to help my students?

Convener: Professor Zack Ives, Computer and Information Science

Gather.town is an online platform that allows students and faculty to re-create some of the interactions that everyone had when they were on campus: running into fellow students and instructors, meeting new people, striking up conversations and office hours. The platform features white boards and notice boards that people on the platform can share. In this session, Zack Ives of Computer and Information Science will talk about how he has been using Gather.town and faculty are encouraged to come and consider if this might be useful for their teaching and interactions with students.
