Integrating Creative Play as a Multimodal Learning Strategy: Building Equitable Assessments
This workshop frames assessment as a collaborative space for students to establish writing goals and receive individual feedback and accountability by staggering strategic check-ins throughout the semester. It asks instructors to consider how assessment operates as a creative tool for revealing observations, conflicts, surprises, and what delights us. It asks students to claim a stake in determining the benchmarks for their evaluation.
